Role Overview
We are hiring a Business Development Manager with strong experience in Upwork bidding and agency sales. This role is focused on generating qualified leads, managing client conversations, converting opportunities into projects, and building a predictable sales pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and shortlist high-quality projects on Upwork and other digital channels
- Write customized, strategic proposals aligned with client needs
- Manage client communication, follow-ups, and proposal negotiations
- Schedule and manage discovery calls with prospects
- Build and maintain a structured sales pipeline and weekly reporting
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth handover after closing
- Improve bidding and outreach strategies based on performance data
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in business development or sales (digital agency preferred)
- Strong Upwork bidding experience with proven conversions
- Excellent English communication (written and spoken)
- Good understanding of web development, CRM, automation, and digital marketing services
- Strong lead qualification skills and objection handling
- Target-driven, disciplined, and process-oriented mindset
Preferred (Bonus)
- Experience selling CRM solutions (GoHighLevel, HubSpot) or automation (n8n, Zapier)
- Experience working with WordPress, Shopify, or custom development services
- Experience building SOPs for sales pipeline and proposal systems
